Katherine Kuhn is an associate in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Healthcare and General Liability Practices. Katherine has experience handling a diverse civil litigation caseload, with a focus on medical malpractice and insurance defense, including insurance coverage disputes, elder law, personal injury, premises liability, construction claims, and worker’s compensation, among more.
During her time in law school, she completed an externship with the Jackson County Public Defender’s Office for three semesters, where she was able to gain courtroom and deposition experience with a 711-student license. While at the Public Defender’s office, she was able to run arraignments, conduct client meetings, and negotiate plea deals, among more. Katherine has also spent time abroad in both Ireland and South Africa, where she was able to meet with and learn from attorneys from other parts of the world and become fully immersed in other cultures, laws, and their practice of law. During her time in undergrad at the University of Northern Illinois, Katherine was a 4-year varsity letter winner as a member of the Division I Women’s Golf Team.
Katherine has found her niche in civil litigation and now has expanded her practice to a plethora of insurance defense type of matters including medical malpractice, negligent construction/design claims, all types of transportation matters, and more.
