New York, N.Y. (September 20, 2021) – New York Partner Cristina R. Yannucci will join a panel about insurance mediated settlements at the upcoming virtual New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Dispute Resolution Section Fall Meeting on September 30 at 11:00 a.m. ET.

In the 75-minute session, the panel will discuss how the three-part insurance relationship - which involves the insurer, its insured, and the counsel retained by the insurer to represent the insured in the defense of a claim - works at the mediation table. They will also cover what drives mediated settlements, what factors are considered by each party, and what mediators should be aware of. CLE credits will be available.

The NYSBA Dispute Resolution Section creates committees to explore and research developments in ethics, substantive law, and legislative initiatives. It recognizes the critical importance of negotiation, collaboration, mediation, neutral evaluation, arbitration, and new and hybrid forms of dispute resolution in all areas of legal practice.

Ms. Yannucci is a national co-chair of Lewis Brisbois' Professional Liability Practice. She focuses on complex, high-profile professional liability litigation, including claims against attorneys, accountants, appraisers, real estate agents and brokers, title companies, real estate managers, insurance agents and brokers, and directors and officers.
