Jonathan Rose is a partner in the Walnut Creek office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Healthcare, Medical Malpractice, and Long-Term Care Practices.

Jonathan Rose grew up in New York City. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Rose spent 13 years as a decorated New York City paramedic. Working full-time while going to college, he graduated magna cum laude from City University of New York - Hunter College with his B.A. in mass communications. Mr. Rose attended Tulane Law School in New Orleans, LA where he graduated cum laude in 2001 having excelled in moot court and served in the Criminal Justice Clinic. After law school, Mr. Rose moved to California where he is licensed to practice law in all state courts and Federal Courts in the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts.

Mr. Rose is a successful and experienced litigator. His practice focuses on defending long term care facilities and healthcare providers in medical malpractice, elder abuse lawsuits, and regulatory matters. Mr. Rose has served as a consultant to other attorneys representing clients with difficult Medical Board issues and has testified as an expert witness concerning the impact of a criminal conviction on a provider’s medical license. He has also represented physicians in Medical Staff disputes and resulting litigation.

Mr. Rose has served as outside general counsel to several skilled nursing, assisted living, and long-term care facilities in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento Areas. He previously served as outside general counsel to a prominent drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in the San Diego area. When not working, Mr. Rose enjoys spending time with his family and three dogs, hiking, traveling, attending concerts, cooking (primarily Italian/Mediterranean food), and taking photographs.
