Jenny Michel Elected Fellow of ACCC

New Orleans and Lafayette Managing Partner Jennifer E. Michel was recently elected to serve as a Fellow in the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC). She joins Los Angeles Partners Lane J. Ashley, Michael R. Velladao, and Rebecca R. Weinreich in this role at ACCC.

New Orleans, La. (August 2, 2021) - New Orleans and Lafayette Managing Partner Jennifer E. Michel was recently elected to serve as a Fellow in the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC). She joins Los Angeles Partners Lane J. Ashley, Michael R. Velladao, and Rebecca R. Weinreich in this role at ACCC.

The ACCC is comprised of over 350 preeminent coverage and extracontractual attorneys in the United States and Canada, representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders. The College is focused on the creative, ethical, and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, peer-provided scholarship, professional coordination, and the improvement of the relationships between members. The ACCC's Membership Committee nominates Fellows based on their prominence in the field, commitment to the practice of law, professionalism, scholarship, diversity, and civility in the bar.

Ms. Michel is the chair of Lewis Brisbois' Marine & Energy Practice, and co-chair of its London Market Group and Pollution Legal Liability/Environmental Impairment Liability (PLL/EIL) Practices. She has extensive experience in negotiation and litigation involving marine and energy contracts, including defense, indemnity, and additional insured demands, as well as a variety of first and third party coverage and bad faith matters. Her practice is focused in Louisiana and Texas.
