Stephen Turner, Jamie Wozman To Join Panel on Telephone Communications at NCBA Spring 2021 Conference

(May 11, 2021) - Los Angeles Partner Stephen Turner and New York Partner Jamie R. Wozman will join a panel discussion at the National Creditors Bar Association’s Spring 2021 Conference, taking place in Orlando, Florida from May 18 through May 21. The panel, titled “Telephone Communications,” is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. ET on Friday, May 21.

During the 60-minute session, Mr. Turner, Ms. Wozman, and their fellow panelists will address how the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Final Debt Collection Rule treats telephone communications with consumers. They will discuss, among other topics, voicemail, limited content messages, and call cap tracking.

Mr. Turner serves as chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Consumer Financial Services Practice. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions and professionals including collection agencies, credit grantors, and debt collection law firms in actions involving claims of unlawful collection practices, intentional misconduct, and violations of federal and state statutes.

Ms. Wozman serves as vice-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Legal Malpractice Practice and is also a member of its Professional Liability Practice. She regularly handles claims against attorneys, accountants, insurance brokers, and other miscellaneous professionals.
