Kevin Borozan is an associate in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment and Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) Practices. Kevin provides employment related consultation to corporate clients and human resources managers including internal complaints and investigations by federal and state agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). He advises executives, managers, and human resources personnel across a variety of industries on legal compliance and matters affecting the workplace such as termination and severance practices, compensation, benefits, pre-employment background checks, and the development of employee handbooks and other policies and procedures.
Kevin also has extensive experience providing investigative support to Fortune 100 clients and their corporate counsels through effective document analysis and thorough fact witness interviews to obtain favorable and cost-effective resolution of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, defamation, wrongful discharge, retaliation, and invasion of privacy claims.
In addition, Kevin has experience defending the interests of companies and individuals in the financial services industry in jurisdictions across the country. He has handled both single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits involving various state and federal consumer protection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Illinois Collection Agency Act (ICAA), and the Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (CRLTO).
Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Kevin worked at a national law firm where he handled complex litigation matters ranging from employment disputes, product liability, professional liability, construction defect, and general liability matters. Kevin’s experience also includes achieving favorable bench and jury trial verdicts as both first-chair and second-chair counsel.
Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he was Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and a distinguished member of the Trial Advocacy Society and Moot Court Committee. Prior to law school, Kevin graduated from Indiana University with double major distinction, where he was named to the Dean’s List.
