Partners Karen Campbell, Joseph Baiocco to Join Roundtable Discussions at CLM Conference

New York Partners Karen Campbell and Joseph Baiocco will both lead roundtable discussions at the 2021 CLM Workers’ Compensation and Retail, Restaurant & Hospitality Conference, taking place virtually May 12-14. 

New York, N.Y. (March 31, 2021) – New York Partners Karen Campbell and Joseph Baiocco will both lead roundtable discussions at the 2021 CLM Workers’ Compensation and Retail, Restaurant & Hospitality Conference, taking place virtually May 12-14. 

Ms. Campbell’s program, titled “COVID-19 Legal Concerns: What’s Top of Mind for the Retail, Restaurant & Hospitality Industry?,” will take place on May 12 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Ms. Campbell and her fellow panelists will address a range of questions regarding the legal obligations that hotel owners/operators face when an employee tests positive for COVID-19. The presenters will also discuss re-opening plans and COVID-19/antibody testing programs.  

Mr. Baiocco’s roundtable discussion, titled “Trial Preparation Starts Early; Putting Your Company and Employees in The Most Favorable Light from Inception Through Depositions,” will take place on May 13 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Mr. Baiocco and his fellow panelists will discuss the importance of addressing employee claims immediately through depositions and evidence preservation, as well as other best practices for managing employment lawsuits.

Ms. Campbell is a chair of Lewis Brisbois' General Liability Practice. With 30 years of trial experience, her practice focuses on defending hotel industry clients against human sex trafficking claims and in general liability litigation at both the primary and excess levels.

Mr. Baiocco is a member of the firm's General Liability Practice. He has over 20 years of experience defending cases in state and federal courts in New York and Connecticut, litigating a diverse range of civil claims in the areas of transportation, general and premises liability, toxic torts, and employer liability.
