Ana Menshikova is an associate in the San Diego office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and Government Investigations & White Collar Defense Practices. Ana has experience defending consumer class actions and litigating complex commercial matters, including unfair business competition, false advertising, and product liability. She has represented several consumer goods manufacturers and retailers in false advertising and mislabeling class action lawsuits.

Ana’s practice includes reviewing product labels and advertising materials to assess risks of both regulatory action and litigation. She has performed risk assessments for clients in the food and cosmetics industries surrounding representations like “all natural” on product labeling. She has also advised clients on FDA regulatory challenges, affecting everything from product labeling to distribution agreements, and has prepared clients for FDA inspections. Ana is experienced in handling discovery matters, including e-discovery. She has managed review teams involving hundreds of thousands of documents.

Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Ana handled class action and complex litigation, employment, and insurance-related matters at multiple prominent law firms. She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas J. Whelan of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California and to the Honorable Margaret M. Mann of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of California.

Ana received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as a member of the San Diego International Law Journal and Moot Court. Ana received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude in economics from the University of San Diego, where she was Phi Beta Kappa.

Ana maintains an active pro bono practice that includes representing clients in matters involving domestic abuse and immigration.

Ana speaks fluent Russian and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
