Gregory Katz, Ellen Greiper to Participate at Advisen 2021 Casualty Insights Conference

New York Managing Partner Gregory S. Katz and Partner Ellen H. Greiper will join a panel presentation at the Advisen 2021 Casualty Insights Conference @Home Virtual Series, taking place March 23-24. Additionally, Ms. Greiper is serving on the conference’s advisory board and has helped shape the agenda of this year's event.

New York, N.Y. (March 5, 2021) – New York Managing Partner Gregory S. Katz and Partner Ellen H. Greiper will join a panel presentation at the Advisen 2021 Casualty Insights Conference @Home Virtual Series, taking place March 23-24. Additionally, Ms. Greiper is serving on the conference’s advisory board and has helped shape the agenda of this year's event. 

Moderated by Ms. Greiper, this presentation is titled “No Trials ‘Til ’22?,” and will begin at 11:50 a.m. ET on March 23. The panelists will analyze the emerging issues as many courts remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Timely questions such as: “What will be the ultimate impact of pandemic-related delays on litigation and defense costs?;” “Are claimants more likely to settle these days and will juries of the future be more sympathetic?;” and “What are the benefits and drawbacks to mediation?,” will all be discussed throughout this virtual presentation. 

Mr. Katz is chair of Lewis Brisbois' National Trial Practice, and a chair of its General Liability and Transportation Practices. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has over 20 years of experience in defending cases in state and federal court. He also formed and oversees the firm’s 24/7 Rapid Response On Call Transportation Team.

Ms. Greiper is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Construction Practice. She has served on Advisen’s Advisory Board for this and other conferences since 2019. She is also a member of several professional industry organizations and currently serves on the board of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), where she is a Director of its New York Chapter.
