Rima Badawiya to Join Webinar Discussing Microaggressions in the Legal Industry

Chief Diversity Partner Rima Badawiya will join a timely webinar titled “Microaggressions In Law, Construction & Insurance: Death by 1,000 Cuts,” hosted by Pete Fowler Construction Services, Inc. on March 8 at 12:00 p.m. CT.

San Bernardino, Calif. (March 2, 2021) – Chief Diversity Partner Rima Badawiya will join a timely webinar titled “Microaggressions In Law, Construction & Insurance: Death by 1,000 Cuts,” hosted by Pete Fowler Construction Services, Inc. on March 8 at 12:00 p.m. CT.

Ms. Badawiya and her fellow panelists will provide relevant and common examples of microaggressions encountered in the workplace. They will also discuss how these types of comments are hurtful, as well as suggest alternative statements to produce a more welcoming and inclusive workplace. 

Ms. Badawiya serves as co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Healthcare, Medical Malpractice, and Long-Term Care & Elder Law Practices as well as vice-chair of its Healthcare Regulatory & Compliance Practice. Her civil trial practice focuses on the defense of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare and long-term care professionals and organizations. In October 2020, she was appointed Lewis Brisbois' Chief Diversity Partner to lead the firm's efforts in raising awareness of the benefits of diversity and inclusion.
