Lewis Brisbois Expands Labor & Employment, Commercial Litigation Capabilities with New Partner Hire

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Cheryl Wilke to its Fort Lauderdale and Washington, D.C. offices as a partner in its Labor & Employment and Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practices. Ms. Wilke joins Lewis Brisbois from a publicly-traded REIT, where she served as vice president, corporate counsel, and served as litigation officer.

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Washington, D.C. (February 8, 2021) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Cheryl Wilke to its Fort Lauderdale and Washington, D.C. offices as a partner in its Labor & Employment and Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practices. Ms. Wilke joins Lewis Brisbois from a publicly-traded REIT, where she served as vice president, corporate counsel, and served as litigation officer. Prior to that, Ms. Wilke spent 22 years at a national law firm, where she was the partner in charge of its Fort Lauderdale office and served as the firm’s business development officer.

Ms. Wilke, who has deep and varied experience in federal and state courts, specializes in employment law as well as corporate compliance and business litigation for mid-market and national businesses. Certified by the EEOC to conduct investigations and provide employer training, Ms. Wilke partners with her clients to achieve their goals for employee compliance, risk management, and litigation strategies.

In addition to her legal work, Ms. Wilke is active in her Florida community, serving on the Board of Directors of Florida Atlantic University’s Foundation, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of WLRN, a public radio station based in Miami. She is also a member of Palm Beach County’s Inns of Court.

Ms. Wilke earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University. She is admitted to practice in Florida and California.
