Sean Hoar to Join Panel on Cybersecurity at NYSBA Annual Meeting

Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Chair Sean B. Hoar will join a panel at the Annual Meeting of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), taking place virtually January 19-29. Sponsored by the NYSBA's Committee on Law Practice Management, Mr. Hoar's panel will occur on January 21 at 4:10 p.m. ET.

New York, N.Y. (January 6, 2021) - Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Chair Sean B. Hoar will join a panel at the Annual Meeting of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), taking place virtually January 19-29. Sponsored by the NYSBA's Committee on Law Practice Management, Mr. Hoar's panel will take place on January 21 at 4:10 p.m. ET.

Titled "Cybersecurity Update: Risks, Exposure and Prevention," the panel will cover the rise in data breaches and the evolution of cyber threats. Mr. Hoar and his fellow expert panelists will present an update for current types of cyber risk events, share steps attorneys can take to help manage this risk, and provide a brief overview of cyber risk coverage available to protect solo attorneys, large firms, and everything in between.

Mr. Hoar is a partner in Lewis Brisbois’ Portland office. He has extensive experience managing responses to digital crises and is a frequent speaker and commentator on cybersecurity issues in the law, as well as a regular contributor to the firm's Digital Insights blog.
