Alison Kertis is an associate in the Reno office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Alison is a native Nevadan and proud to call the Reno-Tahoe area home. She received her undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and went on to obtain a Masters in Ethics from Fordham University before deciding to pursue law. At Marquette University Law School, Mrs. Kertis served as an editor of the Marquette Benefits & Social Welfare Law Review. Upon graduation, Mrs. Kertis clerked for two years in the Second Judicial District Court of Washoe County, Nevada for Honorable Scott Freeman. She practiced with a small local firm, focused primarily on commercial real estate, complex business litigation, and trusts and estates before moving to Lewis Brisbois to focus her interests on professional and general liability.
She currently serves as Secretary for the Northern Nevada Association of Defense Counsel and is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada. She was named as a Top Rank Attorney for 2022 by Nevada Business Magazine for her work in general liability.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and two large dogs exploring the Sierra Nevadas.
