Susan Briones to Join Dallas Bar Association Webinar Discussing the Opioid Epidemic
Dallas Partner Susan E. Briones will participate in an online panel discussion hosted by the Dallas Bar Association titled “The Other Epidemic: The Parties, The Claims, and The Insurance Policies Involved in the Opioid Litigation,” on November 3 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
Dallas, Texas (October 26, 2020) – Dallas Partner Susan E. Briones will participate in an online panel discussion hosted by the Dallas Bar Association titled “The Other Epidemic: The Parties, The Claims, and The Insurance Policies Involved in the Opioid Litigation,” on November 3 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
Ms. Briones and her fellow panelists will discuss the evolving opioid epidemic and how it has impacted professional liability for practitioners. They will focus specifically on how the standard of care for prescribers has evolved and resulted in new regulations, lawsuits, and licensing board investigations.
Ms. Briones is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Healthcare Practice. She has practiced healthcare liability defense in Texas for over 15 years and has extensive experience representing healthcare providers including physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and social workers in healthcare liability claims.
