Paul Baleria to Present on Civil Litigation at Virtual Western Occupational Health Conference

Sacramento Partner Paul R. Baleria will deliver a virtual presentation and Q&A session at the 64th annual Western Occupational Health Conference 2020, taking place online on September 24-26. Mr. Baleria’s prerecorded presentation is titled “Interacting with the Legal System,” and will begin streaming at 8:00 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 26.

Sacramento, Calif. (September 22, 2020) – Sacramento Partner Paul R. Baleria will deliver a virtual presentation and Q&A session at the 64th annual Western Occupational Health Conference 2020, taking place online on September 24-26.

Mr. Baleria’s prerecorded presentation is titled “Interacting with the Legal System,” and will begin streaming at 8:00 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 26. Following the presentation, Mr. Baleria will  participate in a livestreamed Q&A at 9:30 a.m. PT. The presentation and Q&A session will provide an overview of the aspects of a medical malpractice case and offer practical information for physicians who have been subpoenaed for a deposition or contacted by the Medical Board.

Attendees of this virtual event will gain an understanding of how the civil litigation system works from the perspective of a defendant physician and attain confidence in answering questions at a deposition, while also learning about the Medical Board disciplinary process from start to finish.

Mr. Baleria is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Medical Malpractice and Long-Term Care & Elder Law Practices, with extensive experience representing physicians, dentists, nurses, hospitals, and long-term care facilities in civil litigation.
