Maria L. Garcia is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practice.

Maria was admitted to the State Bar of California in June 2011. She is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of California. Maria graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A., Political Science, 2006). She received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (2010). While in law school, Maria served as a production editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ellen Carroll (ret.), United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California. After being admitted to the State Bar of California, Maria served as a term judicial law clerk for the late Honorable Richard M. Neiter and the Honorable Robert N. Kwan, United States Bankruptcy Judges for the Central District of California. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Maria worked at a small size law firm as an associate attorney handling bankruptcy-related matters as well as a broad range of other matters.
