Katie Butler



Katie L. Butler is an associate in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. She has extensive experience providing legal support for tech companies. She provides a proactive approach to data privacy and security by counseling clients to build and maintain privacy regulation compliance programs and incorporate privacy-by-design into new technologies. She coordinates with her clients to inventory and map the flow of their data, and to develop incident response plans. She assists with the development of privacy policies, terms of use, data privacy addendums, and other contract terms to support client privacy efforts. She also responds to and facilitates remediation services in data security incidents. She holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) credentials.
