Angeline Ioannou, Pamela Ferguson to Speak at Crittenden Medical Insurance Conference

Hartford Managing Partner Angeline N. Ioannou and San Francisco Partner Pamela M. Ferguson will both moderate panels at the Crittenden Medical Insurance Conference, taking place April 5 to 7 at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami, Florida.

Miami, Fla. (February 28, 2020) – Hartford Managing Partner Angeline N. Ioannou and San Francisco Partner Pamela M. Ferguson will both moderate panels at the Crittenden Medical Insurance Conference, taking place April 5 to 7 at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami, Florida.

Ms. Ioannou’s session is titled “The Price Isn't Right: Use of Focus Groups to Predict Exposure and Jury Verdicts for Medical Malpractice Trials,” and will begin at noon on Monday, April 6. Ms. Ioannou will moderate a panel discussing the benefits of using social data to test jury pools, and will offer considerations for which issues and cases are the best candidates for a focus group vs. mock trial.

Ms. Ferguson’s panel will begin at 11:30 a.m. on April 7 and is titled “Opioid Litigation: An Update on Liability, Risk Management and Coverage Issues Involving Medical Providers and the Pharmaceutical Industry.” The discussion will cover opioid-related litigation and insurance coverage matters, emerging issues in the opioid litigation landscape, and more.

Ms. Ioannou is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Healthcare and General Liability Practices and handles healthcare matters, as well as the defense of complex tort and commercial liability claims involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries.

Ms. Ferguson is vice-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Products Liability, Class Action & Mass Tort, and Life Sciences Practices, with a focus in cases involving complex scientific, medical, and environmental issues.
