Jessica Beckwith, David Samani to Present on Ethics in the Digital Age for LA CPCU Society Chapter Luncheon

Los Angeles, Calif. (February 14, 2020) - Los Angeles Partner Jessica L. Beckwith and David D. Samani will deliver a lunchtime presentation on March 10 titled "The Future is Here - Understanding The Basics of Ethics In A Digital Age" for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU). The event will be held at the Karl Strauss Brewing Company in Downtown LA.

During their presentation, Ms. Beckwith and Mr. Samani will address the ethical issues that arise in electronic data management and e-discovery, as well as those related to social media use. They will also discuss client confidentiality, including claw backs. 1 hour of CE credit will be available for this presentation.

Ms. Beckwith is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Professional Liablity and Real Estate & Environmental Practices. She practice focuses on attorney regulation and ethics, including advising attorneys and law firms on matters relating to bar charges in Arizona and State Bar complaints in California, as well as fee disputes, disciplinary matters, and other licensing, ethics, and professional responsibility issues.

Mr. Samani is a member of the firm's Professional Liability Practice. He has extensive experience in defending attorneys against claims of legal malpractice, malicious prosecution, and other third-party claims. He was recently appointed as a founding member of the newly-formed California Lawyer Association Ethics Committee.
