Atlanta, Ga./Los Angeles, Calif./Chicago, Ill. (February 14, 2020) - Atlanta Partner Jonathan D. Goins, Los Angeles Partner Daniel C. DeCarlo, and Chicago Partner Jill Anderfuren have been recognized by the World Trademark Review (WTR) in the 2020 edition of its annual research directory World Trademark Review 1000 - The World's Leading Trademark Professionals. This is the third year in a row each partner has been ranked in the WTR 1000, which is developed through an exhaustive research process that seeks to identify firms and individuals deemed outstanding in the critical practice of trademark law.

Mr. Goins, who lectures on copyright and trademark law as an adjunct professor at John Marshall Law School, was recognized by the WTR as a recommended expert who "anchors Lewis Brisbois's IP practice in Atlanta." The directory further noted that, in addition to Mr. Goins' lead counsel experience, "he oversees the management and development of portfolios with an assured hand . . . In contentious scenarios, he is great at getting a read on judges, assessing potential risk and damages and using litigation to create business opportunities for his clients."

Mr. DeCarlo, who is co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, was also recognized as a recommended expert, with the WTR noting "n short order, Daniel DeCarlo figures out what clients are looking to accomplish and then sets to task, whether it is getting them out of a lawsuit as quickly as possible or digging in and drawing lines in the sand." The directory also added that, as an experienced advocate, Mr. DeCarlo "fits in well at muscular litigation shop [of] Lewis Brisbois."

Ms. Anderfuren, who also focuses her practice on Intellectual Property & Technology law, regularly engages in securing protection for important trademarks. “She is able to take over intractable cases from other counsel and swiftly bring them to resolution, consistently providing clear, creative and practical advice in a timely manner and works hard while never losing sight of the practical business objectives of her clients." The directory also mentions that Ms. Anderfuren is flexible in accommodating any request, both in the United States and internationally.

The WTR looks at various factors when determining which law firms and individuals are included in the WTR 1000 directory, now in its tenth year of publication, such as depth of expertise and market presence, along with positive peer and client reviews.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Goins, Mr. DeCarlo, and Ms. Anderfuren on this recognition.
