Ryli McDonald is an associate in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. Ryli focuses on cybersecurity incident response, in which she helps clients respond to cybersecurity incidents while complying with state and federal breach notification requirements. Ryli drafts consumer and regulatory notifications and helps provide credit monitoring and identity restoration services to individuals whose information is impacted in data security incidents. Ryli also tracks legislative developments in the data privacy and cybersecurity area.

Ryli earned her J.D. in 2019 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. During law school, Ryli served as Vice President of Programs for the Venture Law Society, a student organization providing experiential and educational opportunities to students interested in startup law and technology trends, including the intersection of blockchain and the law. Ryli worked as a law clerk for various firms and large companies throughout law school, where she gained experience in employment and civil litigation, as well as corporate transactional work.

Prior to law school, Ryli received her B.S. in Accounting from Colorado State University where she completed a senior honors thesis and graduated as a Business Honors Scholar. Ryli’s background in business and accounting enables her to clearly communicate with her business clients and understand the business implications of legal issues.
