Lewis Brisbois Grows New York Med Mal Team with New Partner Hire

New York, N.Y. (October 24, 2019) – Lewis Brisbois has brought on experienced trial lawyer Jennine A. Gerrard to its New York Medical Malpractice and General Liability Practices. Ms. Gerrard has extensive litigation experience representing healthcare providers and HMOs of all sizes in malpractice, wrongful death, and insurance defense matters. She has also represented corporations, property owners, and contractors in matters involving personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, labor law, and large loss property damage cases.

Ms. Gerrard began her career focusing on medical and dental malpractice and nursing home defense. These detail-driven areas of the law provided her with a strong medical and scientific foundation, enabling her to deeply analyze and strategically defend all types of cases. She also has experience representing physicians and other healthcare providers in disciplinary proceedings before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and within the New York State Professional Misconduct System.

Ms. Gerrard has successfully tried cases in all five New York City boroughs, as well as Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties. She has also argued cases on appeal before the Second Department. Mr. Gerrard received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and her law degree from New York Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the New York Medical Malpractice Defense Bar Association.
