Nancy Cundiff, Frank Cerza to Speak at ICSC Law Conference in San Diego

New Orleans Partner Nancy Cundiff and New York Partner Frank Cerza will both join panel discussions at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) U.S. Law Conference taking place on October 23-25 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina.

San Diego, Calif. (October 17, 2019) –New Orleans Partner Nancy Cundiff and New York Partner Frank Cerza will both join panel discussions at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) U.S. Law Conference taking place on October 23-25 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. 

Ms. Cundiff’s roundtable discussion will take place on Friday, October 25, during the morning session. Her presentation, titled “Lease Terms to Address the Unexpected: How Medical Uses and The Cannabis Industry Are Changing Our Standard Provisions,” will analyze the evolving legal issues surrounding medical marijuana.

Mr. Cerza’s workshop panel, titled “Maintenance and Repair Obligations Under Commercial Leases – Does Anyone Really Know What First-Class Conditions Means,” will also take place later that same day at noon. He and his fellow panelists will analyze the allocation of responsibilities between landlord and tenant under commercial leases for maintenance and repair obligations, including the distinction between structural and non- structural building components and repair, replacement, and maintenance obligations. They will also explore the meaning of “first-class conditions.”

Ms. Cundiff and Mr. Cerza are both members of Lewis Brisbois’ Real Estate, Land Use & Environment Practice.
