Hong Lu, Charles Reed Present on Products Liability Law in Qingdao, China

Los Angeles, Calif. (June 11, 2019) - Los Angeles Partner Hong (Cindy) Lu and Atlanta Partner Charles K. Reed traveled to Qingdao, China to present a seminar on products liability to China Pacific Insurance Company (“CPIC”), the second largest insurance carrier in the People’s Republic of China.

This one-and-a-half-day seminar provided a general overview of the U.S. legal system, an overview of U.S. products liability law and emerging tactics, and some typical issues often encountered in handling U.S. products liability claims involving Chinese companies. More than sixty attendees from CPIC’s headquarters and branch offices were present.

Ms. Lu and Mr. Reed are co-chairs of Lewis Brisbois’ Chinese Business & Litigation Practice, and Mr. Reed is co-chair of the firm’s Products Liability Practice. Both have extensive experience working with Asian businesses to address their litigation needs.
