Sarah A. Schade is a partner in the Phoenix office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Medical Malpractice, Healthcare, and Long-Term Care Practices. Sarah’s practice is primarily focused on defending complex medical malpractice and long-term care claims. She has served clients in a vast array of legal landscapes, including personal/catastrophic injury, wrongful death, insurance defense, corrections defense, law enforcement defense, municipality defense, government defense, civil rights litigation, and class actions. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts. In addition, she has experience in representing healthcare providers in regulatory matters before state boards.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Sarah honed her legal writing and oral advocacy skills while working as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Jacqueline Rateau at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, and Judicial Intern for the Honorable Danelle Liwski on the Family Law Bench at Pima County Superior Court. She also taught a series of legal courses at the Pima County Juvenile Court Center. 

Sarah is a trained mediator by the Office of the Attorney General in the State of Arizona. She is proficient in both written and spoken Spanish. She is also a published author where, as a selected member of the Arizona Law Review, she published a Note titled “Reining in the Predatory Nature of For-Profit Colleges,” 56 Ariz. L. Rev. 317 (2014).
