Sana Suhail Appointed to NYSBA Committee for Civil Rights

New York Partner Sana Suhail has been appointed to the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Committee for Civil Rights.

New York, N.Y. (June 04, 2019) – New York Partner Sana Suhail has been appointed to the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Committee for Civil Rights. Founded in 1952, the Committee works on a broad range of issues affecting the public and legal profession in New York, including issues of privacy, national security, due process, the rights of immigrants, and marriage equality.

Ms. Suhail is one of eight new members appointed to the Committee this year by NYSBA President Henry “Hank” Greenberg, of Greenberg Traurig, following a lengthy application and rigorous screening process.

Committee members are appointed to serve for three consecutive one-year terms and must participate in at least one subcommittee during each term. Ms. Suhail plans to join the Legislative/Advocacy subcommittee, which regularly reviews and promotes legislation impacting civil rights issues on the state and federal level.

Ms. Suhail is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Construction and General Liability Practices. She handles a wide range of complex litigation matters, and has experience in all phases of litigation before both federal and state courts.
