Katherine Vaughn is a partner in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois, a member of the General Liability Practice, and a vice-chair of the Transportation Practice. Katherine is an experienced litigation attorney who regularly represents clients in state and federal courts in a broad array of civil matters. In addition to her jury trial experience, Katherine represents clients in arbitration, mediation, and pre-suit negotiations.
In her transportation practice, Katherine has coordinated rapid response accident investigations in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. She recently served as national coordinating counsel for a mock FMCSA compliance audit on behalf of one of the country’s largest private motor carrier fleets. She also reviewed and modified that company’s internal rapid response procedures and guidelines. Katherine handles cargo, property, and casualty claims regionally for transportation clients large and small. Katherine has also handled high profile, media-sensitive wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims.
Beyond her transportation practice, Katherine also litigates professional and products liability matters. She defends business owners against a wide variety of tort and contract claims, including premises liability, construction defect, mechanics liens, and commercial disputes. Katherine is also experienced with insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
