David Nahai to Discuss Water Conservation at LABC Annual Sustainability Summit

Los Angeles Partner David Nahai will speak at the 13th Annual Sustainability Summit, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) on April 5 at the Getty Center. Mr. Nahai, who was previously head of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Chair of the Regional Water Quality Control Board, will lead the panel on water issues confronting Southern California.   

Los Angeles, Calif. (March 22, 2019) – Los Angeles Partner David Nahai will speak at the 13th Annual Sustainability Summit, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) on April 5 at the Getty Center. Mr. Nahai, who was previously head of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Chair of the Regional Water Quality Control Board, will lead the panel on water issues confronting Southern California.   

Mr. Nahai’s panel, “Water Conservation, Resources and Technology,” will discuss a range of topics, including state and local existing and proposed laws and regulations regarding water supply, wastewater recycling, rainfall capture, taxation and other matters.

Other speakers at this summit will explore how California is creating climate resilient economies and growing access to clean energy and water resource technologies. The event is expected to attract around 700 attendees.

Mr. Nahai is vice-chair of the Real Estate, Energy, Water & Environment Practice at Lewis Brisbois. He is widely recognized as a leading expert on water issues. In his capacity as Chair of the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Mr. Nahai served in the administrations of three separate California Governors, and is credited with reinvigorating the effectiveness of the Water Board and spearheading some of its most progressive programs.
