Miami, Fla. (March 8, 2019) – San Francisco Partner Pamela M. Ferguson will moderate a panel on opioid litigation at the Crittenden Medical Insurance Conference in Miami, Florida on April 1st. The panel, titled “Opioid Litigation: Key Developments & Strategies for Defense, Claims Management, Risk Mitigation and Coverage,” will being at 10:45 a.m.

Ms. Ferguson will be joined by four expert panelists for a discussion about the evolution of opioid litigation and recent bellwether trials, strategies for managing the large volume of opioid litigation claims, types insurance available for opioid matters, and the different types of risk mitigation available to companies involved in this area.

Ms. Ferguson is vice-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Products Liability, Class Action & Mass Tort, and Life Sciences Practices. Her practice focuses on the defense of complex multi-party litigation involving mass torts, drug and medical device products liability and toxic tort litigation, with particular emphasis on complex scientific, medical and environmental related issues.
