Lewis Brisbois Corporate Team Successfully Represent Clients in Major Hemp Farm, Natural Gas Plant Projects

A cross-office team led by Fort Lauderdale Managing Partner Michael G. Platner and Denver Partner Christopher S. Heroux recently represented a management team finalizing a multi-million-dollar initial capital raise for funding the development of an industrial hemp farm project in central Colorado. Mr. Heroux, along with Associate Alexandra Katich, also represented an oil & natural gas company in the negotiation of a contract for the development of a natural gas plant project in Wyoming.

Denver, Co. (March 5, 2019) – A cross-office team led by Fort Lauderdale Managing Partner Michael G. Platner and Denver Partner Christopher S. Heroux recently represented a management team finalizing a $12.4 million initial capital raise for funding the development of an industrial hemp farm project and integrated laboratory to be located in central Colorado. The farm project will be one of the first large-scale industrial hemp farms entering the industry after the farm bill was recently passed by Congress.

Mr. Heroux, along with Associate Alexandra Katich, also recently represented Meritage Midstream Services II, LLC, a Denver-based oil & natural gas company, and its subsidiary Thunder Creek Gas Services, LLC, in the negotiation of a contract for the development of a two-unit cryogenic natural gas plant project in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. The team worked extensively on an EPC Contract with the project’s general contractor, as well as on construction agreements for gathering system pipelines and electric facilities serving the project.
