David A. Tango is a partner in the Newark office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. Mr. Tango is an experienced labor and employment attorney who focuses his practice on the representation of employers in federal and state courts, and before federal and state administrative agencies, in actions alleging employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Mr. Tango also has significant experience in representing employers in traditional labor matters, including in the following industries: transportation, environmental services, waste management, financial services, medical/dental and emergency care providers, nursing and long term care facilities, restaurants and hospitality, constitutional/civil rights organizations, education, social services, and legal services. The scope of his traditional labor experience on behalf of these employers includes: negotiating initial or successor collective bargaining agreements, CBA administration, litigating discipline and contractual grievance arbitrations pursuant to a CBA, defense of ULP charges and litigation of same before the NLRB, union organizing drives and elections before the NLRB, including litigating election objections and/or challenges. In addition, earlier in his career, Mr. Tango represented labor unions in traditional labor matters. As a result, he has valuable experience on both sides of the table. 

Mr. Tango also defends employers in wage and hour collective and class actions brought in federal and state courts, as well as investigations and proceedings before federal and state departments of labor.

In addition, Mr. Tango counsels employers in personnel matters, including hiring, discipline, terminations, requests for accommodations, requests for leave, personnel policies and handbooks, and internal investigations.
