Lewis Brisbois Expands NW Indiana Presence With New Partner Hire, Office in Schererville

Lewis Brisbois has hired experienced defense litigation attorney and Hoosier native Renee J. Mortimer as the managing partner of its newest office in Schererville, Indiana.

Schererville, Ind. (January 29, 2019) – Lewis Brisbois has hired experienced defense litigation attorney and Hoosier native Renee J. Mortimer as the managing partner of its newest office in Schererville, Indiana.

A graduate of Indiana University and Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Ms. Mortimer has spent much of her life and career in Indiana, developing a strong team and diverse client base. She brings over twenty years of experience representing clients in personal injury and property damage defense, specializing in mass tort litigation with an emphasis on managing large risks and exposures.

Ms. Mortimer is currently the president of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI) and has been named a “Lawyer of the Year” by U.S. News - Best Lawyers. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, she was partner-in-charge at the Schererville office of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP since 2000.
