Ian Mackins is an associate in the San Bernardino office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Healthcare Practice.
Ian has experience in a wide array of areas of law. From working as an advocate for low-income individuals in areas such as family law and landlord-tenant law to administrative law with a focus in professional licensure disputes. After graduating law school, Ian left a civil practice to become a prosecutor in Los Angeles. There, he was able to try nine criminal cases to verdict and advocate for victims of crimes in numerous restitution proceedings. Ian has conducted continuing legal education classes on the effects of the California Supreme Court case People v. Sanchez and its limitations on the admission of case-specific facts during expert testimony at trial. Ian has now taken his trial experience to the civil litigation arena where he is committed to resolving healthcare, long-term-care, and medical malpractice disputes.
