Michael Walker is a partner in the San Francisco office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Michael’s additional practice areas include Construction, Architect and Engineers, Products Liability, and Transportation.

Michael maintains a diverse caseload, defending insured and self-insured business entities in litigation and pre-litigation matters. He represents clients at all stages of litigation, including mediation, arbitration, negotiation, trial and through appeal. Michael’s practice is focused in all aspects of civil litigation including extensive experience litigating complex multiparty disputes, catastrophic injury, industrial workplace and construction site accidents, premises liability, construction defect, traumatic brain injury, products liability, wrongful death, landlord/tenant, property damage, among others. Michael represents commercial and residential property owners and managers in personal injury cases arising from accidents on their premises and disputes with their tenants. He has represented architects, engineers and construction managers in professional liability matters. Michael’s experience in construction defect and construction site injury cases has lead to an understanding of the various issues involving construction sequencing, processes, machinery and operations involved, building repair, as well as OSHA regulations and their role in civil ligation.

Michael has handled all aspects of pre-trial discovery, including taking and defending depositions of lead experts, percipient witnesses and clients. Michael has filed and successfully argued dispositive motions, in addition to preparing successful motions at all states of litigation. Michael has negotiated settlements in mediations, settlement conferences and informal negotiations, reducing his clients’ litigation costs and providing favorable results.

Michael obtained his undergraduate degree from Purdue University, where he was an Academic All Big Ten selection. He attended American University Washington College of Law where he served as Senior Articles Editor for the Administrative Law Review. While in law school, Michael interned for the United States Department of Justice.
