Lewis Brisbois Welcomes Mandy Cartwright to the Firm as Vice Chair of Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice
Phoenix, Ariz. (July 20, 2023) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Mandy Cartwright as Partner and Vice Chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity practice.
Ms. Cartwright joins our Phoenix office, and will work alongside Atlanta Partner Tawana Johnson and New Orleans Partner Ross Molina as vice chairs of the practice group.
Having spent years as an in-house attorney, Ms. Cartwright understands the challenges facing businesses as they craft their data privacy programs in light of the ever-changing legal landscape regarding how data may be collected, protected, and used. She leverages her in-house experience to provide pragmatic advice to clients on how to develop their data privacy and security compliance programs under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), and other US federal and state, and international, privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
In discussing her decision to return to a large law firm environment, Ms. Cartwright described that the unique opportunity to grow as a team at Lewis Brisbois appealed to her. “Kamran and Robert have started to build quite a special team here at Lewis Brisbois, and I couldn’t pass up this excellent opportunity to join a firm with such a national scope,” she said. “I am excited to work with Tawana and Ross as vice chairs of our practice, and help regrow the privacy group.”

Ms. Cartwright counsels clients on cybersecurity incidents, privacy policies, privacy by design, data inventories and mapping, data retention and minimization, and privacy impact assessments. Her experience extends to technology transactions, data and software licensing/usage, and readying companies for mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Cartwright earned her law degree from the Rutgers School of Law, an MBA degree from Cleveland State University, and her undergraduate degree from Kent State University. She is admitted to practice in Arizona and Delaware.
