Orange County, Calif. (April 24, 2023) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Kamran Salour (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT) back to the firm as a partner in its Orange County office and a co-chair of its Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Salour advises clients on a full range of complex privacy and cybersecurity matters. He regularly works with businesses to design proactive cybersecurity measures, create pre-incident response plans, prepare vendor contracts, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. When clients experience cyber incidents, Mr. Salour draws upon his extensive experience to help them successfully navigate the incident response process, including implementing response notification procedures, responding to regulatory investigations, managing state and federal litigation, as well as evaluating and modifying policies to protect against a future event.
In discussing his decision to return to Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Salour explained, "I am delighted to return to Lewis Brisbois and help re-establish its cyber and privacy practice to national prominence. It is rare when a practice of this caliber finds itself in what I call 'stick season' - with tremendous roots ready to bloom. While not without challenges, I believe that when the dust settles, through collaboration, Robert and I will build a practice that will make carriers, clients, and Lewis Brisbois proud. I am thankful to Lewis Brisbois for the tremendous trust and support they have shown me, to Robert and his team for welcoming me so warmly, and to those within the cyber community for their unwavering confidence in me."
Likewise, Jackson, Mississippi Partner and Co-Chair of Lewis Brisbois' Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Robert Walker noted, "I am so happy Kamran has re-joined the firm and that we'll be working together to ensure the continued growth and success of the data privacy team. Kamran’s strong track record and deep experience in the cybersecurity space will enhance the already high level of service we provide to clients and will further strengthen our team. We look forward to Kamran’s contributions and learning from him."
