Lewis Brisbois Further Expands Commercial Litigation Capabilities in Delaware with New Partner Hire

Wilmington, Del. (October 27, 2022) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Sean Brennecke to its Wilmington office as a partner in the firm’s Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, Corporate, and Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practices. With 17 years of experience, Mr. Brennecke represents corporations, alternative entities, and their respective directors, officers, shareholders, members, and managers in complex corporate and commercial matters. He has extensive experience litigating cases in the Court of Chancery and Superior Court of the State of Delaware, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

In addition to handling corporate and commercial litigation, Mr. Brennecke is regularly called upon to serve as Delaware and New Jersey counsel in patent infringement cases. He also has experience litigating adversary cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In discussing his decision to join Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Brennecke explained, “I was drawn to the growing nature of the Delaware office as well as the firm’s overall good reputation. I have known and respected Francis Pileggi for some time now, and I was interested in working with him. I knew that the Delaware office was handling interesting matters and it looked like a good opportunity with room for growth.” He added, “I’m happy to be here. I’m enjoying it.”

Outside of his practice, Mr. Brennecke serves as a member at large of the Executive Committee of the Delaware State Bar Association. He also co-authored a chapter of Representing the Creditors’ Committee: A Guide for Practitioners, which was published by the American Bankruptcy Institute in 2016.

Mr. Brennecke received his law degree from Widener University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University. He is admitted to practice in Delaware and New Jersey.
