Lewis Brisbois Continues Expansion of Healthcare Practice in New York with New Partner Hire

New York, N.Y. (October 20, 2022) - Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Eldar Mayouhas to its New York office as a partner in the firm’s Healthcare, Medical Malpractice, Long-Term Care, and General Liability Practices. With extensive experience handling medical and psychiatric malpractice cases from pre-litigation risk management through appeal, Mr. Mayouhas will help grow the firm’s healthcare capabilities in the region.

Mr. Mayouhas began his career 16 years ago at the Appeals Bureau of the Bronx County District Attorney’s office, where he prepared and argued appeals before the Appellate Division. Since that time, he has spent his career representing medical professionals and facilities in a wide range of matters in both trial and appellate courts and before various administrative bodies, including New York's Office of Professional Medical Conduct, Office of Professional Discipline, Department of Health, Justice Center for People with Disabilities, and Office for Civil Rights.

In discussing his decision to join Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Mayouhas said, “It is exciting to be part of the expansion of a group within such an established firm. I look forward to merging my experience with Lewis Brisbois’ extensive resources.”

Mr. Mayouhas received his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in New York, including before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
