Lewis Brisbois Boosts National Business Practices Group with Ft. Lauderdale Commercial Transactions Partner Hire
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (May 8, 2020) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome seasoned corporate attorney Robert Kritzman to its Fort Lauderdale office as a partner in the firm’s Corporate, Commercial Lending, Marine & Energy, and Transportation Practices.
Mr. Kritzman brings to Lewis Brisbois more than 30 years of experience in the corporate arena, where he has managed a wide variety of commercial transactions and regulatory matters, with an emphasis on the shipping and maritime industries.
Mr. Kritzman joins Lewis Brisbois from Baker Donelson and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital start-ups, corporate governance, corporate investigations, cross-border transactions, bank financings, lease financing transactions, debt restructurings and workouts, mezzanine debt transactions and ship sale, construction, and finance transactions.

Prior to re-entering private practice, Mr. Kritzman spent 17 years with Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), serving first as the executive vice president and general counsel for NCL, and later as the managing director for NCL America. In these roles, he handled mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings, oversaw Human Resources, managed government affairs, and guided strategic planning and development. Mr. Kritzman also led NCL’s expansion into Hawaii.
Fort Lauderdale Managing Partner Michael Platner, who is also chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Corporate Practice and co-chair of its Securities & Corporate Finance Practice, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Mr. Kritzman to the firm.

A graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, Mr. Kritzman is admitted to practice law before the state courts of Florida and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
