Lewis Brisbois Boosts Cleveland Labor & Employment Law Practice

Cleveland, Ohio (August 19, 2019) – Lewis Brisbois has boosted its Cleveland Labor & Employment Law Practice with the addition of Partner David A. Campbell and Associate Donald G. Slezak. The two bring a wealth of experience in labor & employment law, as well as non-compete and trade secrets litigation. They join the firm with a large portfolio of matters from across the country, representing clients in a variety of industries, including hospitals, manufacturers, retailers, restaurants, dental organizations, and all manner of private organizations.

Mr. Campbell’s practice focuses exclusively on representing employers in all aspects of the employment and independent contractor relationships. He has extensive experience in drafting and litigating non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements. He also regularly counsels clients on employment matters involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act, employee investigations, training, employee discharges, reductions-in-force, discrimination and harassment claims, and union-related issues. Mr. Campbell is adept at negotiating and administrating union contracts, as well as handling employee arbitrations and union-related litigation. He has represented both multi-employer construction trade unions and traditional private, single employer unions. Mr. Campbell received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, and his law degree, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University.

Mr. Slezak also focuses on all aspects of labor and employment, as well as general litigation. He has represented clients in state and federal courts, and before federal agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and similar state agencies. Mr. Slezak has worked with clients on discrimination and harassment claims, the enforcement of non-competition agreements and arbitration awards, and collective bargaining agreements. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from The Ohio State University, and his law degree from Case Western Reserve University.
