Lewis Brisbois Adds Commercial Litigation Capabilities to Washington, D.C. Office With New Partner Hire

Washington, D.C. (May 5, 2021) – Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Stefan M. Palys to its Washington, D.C. office as a partner in its Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. Mr. Palys joins Lewis Brisbois from Stinson LLP, where he practiced in the area of business litigation. Focusing on business disputes, loan enforcement and lender liability defense, e-discovery, and appeals, Mr. Palys regularly represents both business owners and businesses in contract and tort matters. He also represents clients in matters involving intra-corporate disputes concerning owners’ rights.

Mr. Palys has extensive experience handling matters in federal and state court, in both trial and appellate settings. He has appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Arizona Court of Appeals, and the Arizona Supreme Court in cases involving lender liability issues, business tort disputes, and a personal jurisdiction challenge.

Mr. Palys is a Fellow of the American Bar Association (ABA) and a former member of the ABA’s House of Delegates. In addition, he has published articles on e-discovery and e-filing issues. Mr. Palys also remains active outside of his legal practice, participating in bike races, marathons, and triathlons.

Graduating magna cum laude from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law, Mr. Palys received his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. He is admitted to practice in federal and state court in Arizona and Nevada, as well as in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
