Webinar Series: Defending Medical Professionals

Los Angeles, Calif. (May 3, 2023) – Los Angeles Partner Gregory Lynch, San Diego Partner Marilyn Moriarty, Boston Managing Partner Kenneth Walton, and Hartford Managing Partner Angeline N. Ioannou will present a webinar titled “Defending Medical Professionals,” on May 18, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. PT.

During this informative 60-minute CLE session, our speakers will provide strategies for effective and potent defense of medical malpractice lawsuits. Moderated by Orange County Partner Esther Holm, this program will be beneficial and informative for all claims and underwriting professionals in the healthcare industry. 

Mr. Lynch is a Co-Chair of the National Healthcare and Medical Malpractice Practice Groups. Mr. Lynch has over thirty-five years’ experience in the representation of healthcare practitioners, healthcare institutions and healthcare systems. Mr. Lynch has tried nearly 100 jury trials, mostly medical malpractice lawsuits. 

Ms. Moriarty is a member of the Medical Malpractice and Labor & Employment Practices. She is a trial attorney specializing in the defense of public entities and private employers in federal and state courts, as well as in administrative proceedings, in matters concerning medical malpractice and employment. Ms. Moriarty has practiced as a trial lawyer for more than 35 years and has tried more than 75 jury trials in a variety of areas.

Mr. Walton is the Managing Partner of the Boston office of Lewis Brisbois, Vice-Chair of the Labor & Employment and Architects & Engineers Practices, and a member of the Professional Liability, General Liability, and Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practices. Ken focuses his trial practice in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and New York on the defense of professional liability, employment, and general liability matters, including the defense of architects, engineers, surveyors, trucking companies, stockbrokers, lawyers, financial broker/dealers, healthcare providers and professionals, directors and officers, insurance agents, and real estate brokers.

Ms. Ioannou is the Managing Partner of Lewis Brisbois' Hartford office and a member of the Healthcare and General Liability Practices. She has more than 20 years of litigation experience and splits her practice between handling healthcare matters and defending complex tort and commercial liability claims involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries. She has tried five cases to verdict and conducted more than 100 matters in binding arbitration and mediation.

Ms. Holm is co-chair of the Professional Liability Practice, and vice-chair of the Product Liability Practice. Her specialty is Trial Practice in Professional, General, Employment, Transportation and Product Liability matters. She moderates all sessions that are part of this General Webinar series by Lewis Brisbois.
