Vy Nguyen to Present on CPRA Regulations at ARMA 2023 California Conference

Orange County, Calif. (June 26, 2023) – Houston Associate Vy Nguyen will present on the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) regulations at the first annual ARMA California Conference, hosted at the Beckman Center in Irvine, California on July 28.

Ms. Nguyen will lead an informative session, titled “CPRA Regulations Update: Are You Enforcement Ready." The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by CPRA, introduced significant changes to the data privacy landscape, enhancing consumer protections and imposing new obligations on businesses. The CPRA went into effect on January 1, 2023, and will be enforced beginning July 1, 2023. Along with Data Privacy Chair Kamran Salour and Associate Maverick James, Ms. Nguyen recently authored a legal alert for businesses to stay informed so that they may work toward compliance.

Ms. Nguyen is a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. Her practice centers on data privacy compliance and managing cybersecurity risks.
