Valerie Edwards Elected to Board of Directors for NAWIC Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (June 4, 2019) – Fort Lauderdale Partner Valerie Edwards has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Fort Lauderdale chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), an organization with approximately 6,000 members throughout the United States and Canada. 

The purpose of NAWIC is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry through professional development, education, networking, leadership training, and public service.  Members include women who hold responsible positions in diverse fields, including architecture, general contracting, subcontracting, materials suppliers, engineering, and companies that provide support services for the construction industry.

Ms. Edwards is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Construction Practice. She focuses on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on construction and real estate law, representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in a variety of matters, including construction defect litigation, contract disputes, and litigation related to construction accidents and job site safety.
