Tripp Lake Presents on Smart Contracts at Chinese IP Forum
Changsha, China (December 7, 2018) – Denver Partner Tripp Lake recently presented at the International Commercial & Legal Cooperation Forum in Changsha, China. His presentation, “Innovative IP in Advance Manufacturing: Management of IP Rights in the Digital Thread,” discussed the rise of “smart” contracts and the intellectual property issues surrounding them. The forum was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), which seeks to enhance mutual communication and cooperation among those in the business and legal professions in several key areas affecting China and the world.
“It was an honor to be asked to speak at this year’s forum,” said Mr. Lake. “Advanced manufacturing, digital contracts, and Industry 4.0 are changing the way China and the U.S. companies conduct business, and each have much to learn from one another. I learned a great deal from my fellow attendees from around the globe, and I look forward to building relationships with the other presenters and attendees I had a chance to meet.”
Mr. Lake is co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Intellectual Property & Technology Practice. He focuses his practice on IP, antitrust, and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on the intersection between patent and antitrust law.
