Todd Gray to Speak at ATA Litigation Center 2023 Trucking Legal Forum

San Diego, Calif. (June 26, 2023) – Pittsburgh Managing Partner Todd Gray will join a panel at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Litigation Center’s 2023 Trucking Legal Forum in La Jolla, California on July 18 at 2:35 p.m PT.

This 75-minute session, titled “The Rise of Freight Broker Liability Claims,” will delve into the two classic claims asserted by plaintiffs against freight brokers, vicarious liability and negligent hiring. Mr. Gray and his co-panelists will discuss strategies to defend those claims once made, and proactive steps that freight brokers can take to prevent such claims and improve their chances of successfully defending against them when faced with litigation. Mr. Gray is a chair of the Transportation Practice of Lewis Brisbois. He specializes in defending catastrophic injury cases of all types, and cases with significant exposure in multiple jurisdictions. Mr. Gray is choice counsel for many private trucking companies and excess insurance carriers insuring motor carriers, freight brokers, and truck owners.
