Stacy Schwartz to Speak at BCWLA Installation of Officers and Directors Honoring Breast Cancer Survivors
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (October 5, 2021) – Fort Lauderdale Partner Stacy M. Schwartz will speak at the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association (BCWLA) Installation of Officers and Directors, hosted at the Lauderdale Yacht Club on October 8 at 5:30 p.m ET. In addition to welcoming the new president and president-elect of the BCWLA, the event will honor breast cancer survivors in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Ms. Schwartz, who is a former president of BCWLA, will discuss her personal story combating breast cancer alongside fellow survivor, Judge Stacy Ross. In September 2020, Ms. Schwartz was diagnosed with Stage I breast cancer and is one-year cancer free. Since her diagnosis, she has shared her experiences, assisted other women through their breast cancer diagnosis, and continues to promote the benefits of early detection to save lives.
Throughout the year, BCWLA hosts monthly luncheons aimed at helping lawyers to achieve their personal and professional goals, earn CLE credits, and hear from talented speakers who share their knowledge, skills, and experiences.
Ms. Schwartz is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. She focuses on commercial business disputes and intellectual property matters. An experienced litigation attorney, Ms. Schwartz has represented clients in various industries, including education, government benefits, marine, construction and technology.
