Sports Law Team Receives First-Place Mondaq Anti-Trust and Competition Thought Leadership Award

New York, N.Y. (November 13, 2023) – Chair of Lewis Brisbois' Collegiate & Professional Sports Law Practice Gregg E. Clifton and New York Associate Christina Stylianou recently received Mondaq's Anti-Trust and Competition Law Thought Leadership Award for their 2022 sports law year-in-review article from January, which summarized many of the most significant sports law events of 2022 and predicted the top sports law issues for 2023.

According to Mondaq, these awards showcase top authors based on total readership between April and September 2023, across 17 countries and multiple topic areas. Mr. Clifton and Ms. Stylianou's article, which highlighted key antitrust law developments in 2022, received first-place honors in the United States.

Mr. Clifton is chair of Lewis Brisbois' Collegiate & Professional Sports Law Practice, and a member of the firm’s Entertainment, Media & Sports and Labor & Employment Practices. He has extensive experience in the collegiate and professional sports world and has advised numerous professional franchises and college and universities on a broad range of labor and employment issues, including Name, Image and Likeness, Title III ADA regulatory compliance and wage and hour issues. Mr. Clifton is also an editor of The Official Review, Lewis Brisbois’ sports law blog.

Ms. Stylianou is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ General Liability and Entertainment, Media, & Sports Practices. She regularly represents clients in a variety of professional and collegiate sports and entertainment matters, including contract-related matters, intellectual property matters, workers’ compensation and injury, and Title IX issues. In addition, Ms. Stylianou frequently writes for Lewis Brisbois’s sports law blog, The Official Review, and also handles New York State labor law as well as general liability matters.
