Sean Hoar to Speak at ACC Cybersecurity Summit in Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. (January 24, 2020) – Portland Partner Sean B. Hoar will speak at the ACC Cybersecurity Summit on Tuesday, January 28 at American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C. Mr. Hoar will join a panel of cybersecurity experts to present a breakout session on Information Governance.
Beginning at 11:30 a.m., Mr. Hoar and his fellow panelists will discuss the critical importance of integrating information governance into a framework that coordinates data privacy and information security principals to protect sensitive data, comply with expansive data privacy laws, and respond to both internal stakeholders and consumers. The discussion will also address standards of care for cyber risk management, enterprise risk mitigation strategies, and the urgent need for organizations to enhance their information governance programs to protect their business models.
This one-day event is geared towards law firms, corporations, and government officials. Attendees will learn about the latest threats and innovations in cybersecurity through plenary sessions, expert panels, and the opportunity to network with peers. Mr. Hoar is Chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice.
