Sean Hoar to Present on Emerging Cyber Threats at CIS Annual Conference
Portland, Ore. (February 9, 2021) – Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Chair Sean B. Hoar will deliver a presentation, titled “Emerging Cyber Threats: Risk Mitigation Strategies,” at the virtual CIS 20th Annual Conference, taking place February 23-25.
Mr. Hoar’s presentation will begin at 9:45 a.m. PT on February 24 and will analyze the evolution of malicious hackers and their presence in every business sector. He will review emerging online threats such as ransomware attacks, business email compromises, and social engineering, as well as the malicious evolution of data monetization.
Mr. Hoar is a partner in Lewis Brisbois’ Portland office and has extensive experience managing responses to digital crises and effectively marshaling resources to contain and remediate information security incidents. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on cybersecurity issues in the law, as well as a regular contributor to Lewis Brisbois’ Digital Insights blog.
